Let's clear this up, Arthur Lee is one of the key psych geniuses. Listen to this album and you will understand. Not only does lee understand transcendental sounds, but his lyrics echo true psychedelic philosophy. He speaks acid lingo better than anyone, sounds like your thoughts while tripping. This album is also known for Lee's beautiful, lush string arrangements. The songs constantly change keys and each chord change blows your mind more than the previous. These songs are as sophisticated as those of Pet Sounds and Oddesey and Oracle. The Red Telephone is one of trippiest songs ever recorded. Lee is a genius, you will know this too after listening to Forever Changes.
