This is one of my favorite albums. The Idle Race is the first project by Jeff Lynne (ELO). Jeff Lynne was a friend of the Beatles and honestly wrote better "Beatlesque pop" than they did. This album follows the concept of a birthday party and the songs have the most amazing production. Lynne can write a great pop song better than most, and his production is just out of this world. If you haven't heard this band get this album immediately, such a gem.
